Ideas for Winter/Klondike Clothing

LAYER YOUR CLOTHES! Your base layer should be a wicking natural or synthetic fabric. Over your base layer, you should wear multiple thin to mid-weight layers of fleece/wool. You should have an outside layer that is waterproof/water resistant/windproof. The outside layer should not be insulated.

Do NOT wear Cotton on ANY layer — no Jeans, no hoodies, no flannel. Cotton is referred to as the “DEATH FABRIC” because once it gets wet, it stays wet!

If you have down insulating materials, keep in mind that it will not insulate after it gets wet. Synthetic fill is best for things like sleeping bags and parkas.
