Weekly update – January 14, 2013

Good day scouts! What are you doing this week?? I know what I wished I were doing.. I wish I were packing for the Klondike!!! But I have plans on Saturday so I will be unable to attend.

This year for Klondike, we are doing it very similar to last. We will be camping out in the snow and braving the weather. This means that we need to pack for the weather and harsh conditions. (Be Prepared) If you didn’t get your pack checked tonight, have an adult look over it or pack expecting the worse. Wool socks, plenty of layers, extra jeans and shirts, hats and gloves, and snow pants are just a few essentials that you should bring with you. If this is your first camp out and you don’t know what to bring, give any leader a call or look it up in your scout book. (If you didn’t get the hand out on what to bring) Well, both team’s yetis and snow shoes looked phenomenal and the hard work put into them was well worth it! I wish the best of luck to both patrols and let’s bring home the trophy this year!!

IF GOING: meet at the church at 3 P.M. on Friday. If unable to make this let Mr. Weissman know as soon as possible.

GROCERIES: Meet at Smiths at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday or 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday* at the commissary (if possible) on Wesnesday

Have an awesome week scouts and parents! Don’t forget to LIVE LIKE A SCOUT! Look for more updates this week.ImageBrennan is well prepared for the blistering cold weather!

  1. I know it was posted elsewhere, but 5PM shopping at the Commissary is on Wednesday, not on Thursday.
