Klondike this weekend!
Congratulations on all you were able to achieve last night at our meeting. I think that we are very ready for the Klondike derby this weekend.
As we will be camping at the Medicine River Scout Center for Klondike, we will NOT be caravanning from the church for this campout. Please make a point to arrive at the camp by 5:30pm. Someone from our Troop will be at the camp by mid-afternoon. If you can show up early to help get our campsite setup, we would certainly appreciate it. If any of you need a ride to the camp, please get in touch with me and I will help arrange one for you. If you do not know how to get to MRSC, please also send me a note or call me.
We will call your parents on Sunday about an hour before we are ready for you to be picked up. No one will be allowed to leave until the campsite is fully packed and the area is clear of FOD. If you need a ride home, please get in touch with me so that I can arrange it.
If you are not on the list of campers for this weekend, there is still a very limited time for you to add yourself. If you want to go, please get in touch with me by TONIGHT. After that, it will be too late to ensure that we have enough food. Regardless of whether or not we have snow, it will be a very fun campout. Many kudos to the Camping committee for their planning!
Many thanks to our volunteer Grubmaster, Mitchell Evans. If you want to help with the food shopping, please make a point to meet at the Malmstrom visitor center at 5pm tomorrow. We will be shopping at the commissary.
Please make a point to be packed for all possible weather conditions. Although the forecast is for it to be warm and dry, it is worth remembering the snow we received last night came as a surprise to all of us.
I look forward to seeing you all this weekend at the Klondike Derby!
