Weekend Skiing Details
Fun meeting last night! Many thanks to Mr. Boyd and Ms. Larias for making cookies for our knot program.
Please remember that Kyle Rutten from Troop 28 is having a K-6 book drive for his Eagle project. If you have clean, used books that are appropriate for K-6, please bring them to our next meeting for donation to Sunnyside Elementary School. Jake Smith is organizing our efforts for our Troop, if you have questions, please get in touch with him.
I hope you are planning on joining us for our skiing excursion this weekend! We are all going to meet at 9am in the basement of the Showdown lodge this coming Saturday, March 8. Please make sure that the names of everyone in your family that are joining us are on my reservation form so that you can benefit from our group rate. The Troop will pay for your skiing costs out of your Scout account. Other family members will have to give me a check; please get in contact with me for the amount.
If your family is not driving up on Saturday, there are several available rides you can take to get to the ski hill. I will be leaving from my home on Friday evening, 5:30pm. If you are coming with me, please take a sleeping bag and dinner. We will be staying at my family cabin in Monarch.
Dean Tanner has room for four people in his Suburban. If you would like to ride there and/or back with Mr. Tanner, please give him a call at 788-8036. I believe he is planning on meeting people at the Natatorium parking lot at 8am on Saturday.
I will have several sleds with me for use at the base of the ski hill after the lifts close at 4pm. Please also think about bringing a sled or two and joining in the fun!
We will be holding our March PLC this coming Monday, March 10 at 6:30pm. Afterward, we will be getting back to work on First Aid skills. Mrs. Evans will be our guest speaker. I look forward to seeing all of you this weekend and on Monday!
