Totin’ Chip Review for Axe, Saw and Hatchet on Monday!

Troop 26;

We are still trying to get a CPR class scheduled for the Troop. Unfortunately, we aren’t going to be able to get a CPR instructor for this coming Monday. We will make an announcement when we are successful in scheduling the class.

Instead, we will continue with our Totin’ Chip class preparation this coming evening, March 24. Last week, we worked on knife safety and knife sharpening. We will extend that to axe, hatchet and saw safety, use and sharpening skills on Monday. I am glad that you all are excited to make the Totin’ Chip class we will teach at Trail to First Class truly exceptional.

Last year, we began a tradition of a Patrol Iron Chef competition during the Trail to First Class campout. Please be thinking of what you want to do for a Panther vs. Troll Patrol rematch! Panthers won last year; will they repeat, or will the Trolls take the trophy? Be thinking about your patrol menus. You will have Patrol meeting time on Monday to work on this.

Have a Great Scouting Weekend! Remember, Food Drive bag drop-off is tomorrow. Meet at the Montanan Lil’s Casino parking lot at 9am.

Yours in Scouting,

Mr. Weissman
