Thank you for your work in Scouting and your generosity!
What a wonderful Court of Honor and Potluck last night! Thank you to everyone who brought a dish to share, and congratulations to all the boys that earned advancements and awards last night! Our next Court of Honor will follow our return from Summer Camp.
Thank you also for your generosity in our Investment and Character and Leadership campaign last night! Because of your generosity, we are now achieved “Gold” ICL status which gives us some real benefits to our troop budget in our purchase of supplies from the Scout office. We are only about $350 below the threshold for “Platinum”. If you have not yet donated to ICL and would like to, please make your pledge by 4/30/14 for it to count for our unit’s goal.
Next Monday, April 28, we will complete the “Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops” course at our regularly scheduled 7pm meeting. This will be another hands-on activity, and I hope that you all are enjoying the program.
On May 5, we will have our mid-year calendar conference and adjust the schedule/put items on our calendar for the rest of our program year. That evening will begin with our May Patrol Leader’s Council meeting at 6:30pm. Time permitting, we will begin our May program theme, which will be learning all about and practicing frisbee sports such as Ultimate Frisbee and Folf!
I would like to extend a special thanks and congratulations to Wyatt Tanner, who has accepted the Troop leadership position of Chaplain’s Aide. A Scout is Reverent, and Wyatt will be helping us to learn about the 12th point in the Scout Law.
We are looking for a volunteer, hopefully at or above the rank of First Class, to take over the job of Scribe/Webmaster. Please contact me or Tyler if you are interested in the position. Candidates should be willing to take notes at meetings and write these Troop update emails describing what happened at the last Troop meeting and what we are doing for the next meeting on a weekly basis.
Finally, please make a note on your calendar about the opportunity to help Jake Smith on his Eagle Project this weekend! Helping out is not JUST an opportunity to do a good turn daily, it will also provide you needed service hours for your next rank advancement. Details follow:
I will need some scouts to help me assemble fire swatters. We will be screwing them together as well as washing and painting them. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Please be at my house @10 am.
My address is 113 33rd AVE NE. If you are able to make it, please call me @ 406-788-2770. I will appreciate any help I can get. The more people that show up, the less time it will take.
Thank you I hope to see you Saturday.
Have a great week!
