Scoutmaster’s Minute for the week of April 28
I hope you had a great weekend! It was great to see so many of you at Jake Smith’s Eagle Project and at the Icebreaker Run yesterday.
Tonight we will be concluding our work on “Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops” at our regularly scheduled Troop meeting at 7pm, tonight at Trinity Lutheran. I think that this has been a valuable activity and I hope you have found it interesting.
Before the meeting, anyone that wants to begin work on Personal Fitness Merit Badge, Family Life Merit Badge and/or Personal Management Merit Badge should meet at Trinity Lutheran at 6:30 pm. For those of you working on Personal Fitness, please be dressed out for some exercise. You will have time to change back into your Class As before the meeting begins.
We are still in need of a volunteer to take over the youth leadership role of Scribe/Webmaster (Scribemaster). The requirement is to be First Class rank or higher and have a desire/willingness to write. You will be responsible for communications like this to the Troop.
Please remember to mark your calendars for our Troop Roller Skating outing this coming Thursday evening, May 1, at Hauer’s Skate Rink. For more information about that activity, please contact Tyler Copenhaver. Sounds like a lot of fun!
Finally, I am still in need of commitments regarding Council Camporee and Camp Parsons from many of you. These are incredible opportunities, and I hope you consider attending both. Mr. Boyd will have an announcement tonight regarding another grocery bagging fundraising opportunity he is arranging. We have been working to make travel plans that will significantly reduce the cost of attending Camp Parsons from our original estimates. I hope we can share all of this with you tonight.
Yours in Scouting,
