Thank you very much for all of your visits and well wishes! I am recovering from last week’s accident, and I do hope to be at the meeting tonight, which will be as regularly scheduled, 7pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. As we are in the height of the Summer, Class B uniforms are acceptable for this meeting.
Those working on Personal Fitness Merit Badge should meet with Mrs. Detrick at 6:15pm tonight at Natatorium Park for a calisthenics session before the meeting. Please bring your Personal Fitness logs to the meeting so that Mrs. Detrick can look them over.
As the last meeting, the Troop chose new senior leadership. Congratulations to Max Weissman, our new Senior Patrol Leader, Ryan Detrick, our new Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Michael Frost, our new Quartermaster! I know that all of you will do great in your term of office. I believe that leaves us an opening in the Panther Assistant Patrol Leader position; please let Daniel know if you are interested in the job.
We also still need someone to take the Scribe/Webmaster job. Your responsibility would be to take notes at meetings and to write these weekly messages. Please see me or Ryan if you are interested in the job.
At tonight’s meeting, we will be working on our Summer Carwash, which will be this coming Sunday, July 13 at the 10th Avenue South Hardees. We also will be finalizing our planning for our Holter Lake Canoeing campout on July 19.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend Jack Dresel’s Eagle Court of Honor this coming Saturday, July 12 at the St. Peter and Paul Gymnasium at 2pm and Jake Smith’s Eagle Court of Honor on July 21 at the Central Christian Church at 6pm. Congratulations and Woo-Hoo! to Jack and Jake!
Parents, I would like to have a discussion with all of you tonight when the boys go out to play Ultimate Frisbee about the accident last week. We also have a number of logistics to discuss regarding the trip there and back from Camp Parsons next month.
