Scout Spirit!

Troop 26;

I would like to thank everyone that came to our Scout meeting this past Monday! Even though we had light attendance, we were able to have a very productive meeting. Many thanks also to Assistant Scoutmasters Mike and Tami Lukas for teaching us three ways to tie the bowline!

One of the items that we discussed were are Scout Spirit days at Camp Parsons! We will be having theme days for our Troop each day at Parsons to show Scout Spirit! Please take some time to go to the thrift store or the back of your closet to participate. Our themes at Summer Camp will be as follows:

Monday: Crazy Hat Day
Tuesday: Loud Tie Day
Wednesday: Appalling/Hawaiian Shirt Day
Thursday: Tie Die Shirt Day
Friday: Sunglasses Day

At our meeting this coming Monday, please be prepared to do a service project for the church. I will forward more information as I have it.

Finally, a serious matter. As all of you know, Brandi Killian, the mother of Troop 26 Scout Eric Abarr, passed away this week after a long fight with cancer. The funeral will be at 2pm on Saturday, August 2 at First United Methodist Church Great Falls at 610 2nd Ave N. As a gesture of support for Eric, I suggest that every member of our Troop attend in our Class A uniform. I hope to see you there.

Yours in Scouting,

Mr. Weissman
