Flag Ceremony TONIGHT; Summer Camp on Friday!
I hope you are having a great week and looking forward to our Troop Seattle adventure!
We are performing the flag ceremony for the municipal band concert TONIGHT at Gibson Park. Please arrive at the Park by 6:45 pm in your full Class A uniform in order to participate. After the ceremony and during the concert, I will have a cooler of ice cream for any of you that show up for the flag ceremony. Parents, I could use some of your help dishing out cones.
Summer camp is upon us! Our Troop (and unfortunately not me) will be leaving for Camp Parsons this coming Friday, August 8 at 6am at the parking lot of the Washington Building (my office), 1015 1st Ave N. All camp attendees should make a point to be ready for the adventure of Camp then and there! As always, we travel in Class A uniforms — this is especially important as we travel out of State, touring unfamiliar cities. Please have your Class A on before you arrive at our departure point.
Please remember that we will be having some fun and marking Scout Spirit Days at Camp Parsons each day during Camp. Our themes at Summer Camp will be as follows:
Monday: Crazy Hat Day
Tuesday: Loud Tie Day
Wednesday: Appalling/Hawaiian Shirt Day
Thursday: Tie Die Shirt Day
Friday: Sunglasses Day
This will only work if everyone participates; so please make sure that you have these items with you at camp.
Finally, we will not be meeting back at the church for our meetings until September. In lieu of a meeting, the PLC decided to have a bowling party on Monday, August 25. Mrs. Stone is organizing it for us this year. More details to come, and thank you to Sheila for putting this together.
See you tonight!

PS: Looking forward to September, the District did finally decide that the Fall Camporee would remain on the weekend of September 19. Please mark your calendars!
