Calendar Meeting and Campout Planning on Monday

Troop 26;

You did a GREAT job at the Rescue Mission on Monday! I am very proud of the work that you all did to do a Good Turn for the less fortunate in our community. You can see photos of the event on our Troop Facebook page at http://on.fb.me/1xEt2En

This coming Monday, we will be going back to our normal schedule of meeting at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran. At the meeting on Monday we will be accomplishing two things:

  • We will have our annual calendar conference to schedule all of our events until September, 2015, and
  • We will be finalizing plans for the campout we have scheduled for the weekend of November 8 at Many Pines Campground.

Please come to that meeting prepared with your school and organization calendars so that we can schedule a fun set of activities for the year that minimize conflicts with your school, sport and church calendars!

We will still have a Patrol Leader’s Council meeting beginning at 6pm on Monday. If you have a position of responsibility in the Troop (Patrol Leader, SPL, ASPL, Quartermaster, etc.) please also attend that PLC meeting.

The following weekend we are going camping in the Little Belt Mountains! We have yet to determine whether we are leaving on Friday or Saturday and a number of details for the campout. One thing is to be sure; this will be camping in the Mountains in November. Please be prepared for all weather conditions. For any Scout that has not yet reached First Class rank, please bring your gear, packed, so that we can do a bag check. Changes of dry clothes, gloves and hats will be very important, as will a sleeping bag rated for under 20 degrees.

Have a Great Scouting weekend, and I look forward to seeing you at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Yours in Scouting,

Aaron Weissman
Scoutmaster, Troop 1026, Great Falls, MT
Vice President for Program, Montana Council
