Learning Knots, but not for naught!
I hope that you enjoyed making rope on Monday! Remember, one of the 10 essentials that everyone is supposed to have in their packs is 10 feet of rope. If you didn’t get a chance to make rope on Monday, we can make a point to bring out the ropemaking tools again this Spring.
To all parents, committee members and adults: We will have holding a committee meeting tonight at 6:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. Agenda items include Troop Committee Challenge training, a demonstration of the new online advancement tracking software scoutbook.com, Troop financial reports and Christmas Party planning. Please make a point to attend this meeting.
For the next several meetings we will be working on our knot and rope skills! We will be working on our knots this coming Monday (11/24), 7pm at Trinity Lutheran. In addition to your Scout book (which you should bring to each and every meeting), please also bring a length of rope on Monday for knot practice. For those of you older Scouts, we will also need your help teaching the younger boys.
Both Patrols should be preparing for the “Zombie Apocalypse” Klondike Derby! Patrol Leaders, please be ready to discuss your progress on the items you need to bring to the campout at each meeting between now and the Derby. Please hold regular meetings with your Patrols to work on them. The program is available at http://bit.ly/1qrcpNZ .
Have a great Scouting Week!
