Lashings and Boards of Review
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! We had a very relaxing holiday. I think that our meal was just about as good as the one we cooked for the Council Camporee in June. We should do that again!
Tonight, we will be working on lashings, trestles and discussing camp gadgets that you can build with poles and rope. Everyone attending will complete some of the requirements of the Pioneering merit badge and requirements. Our lashing program will be led by Assistant Scoutmasters Tami and Mike Lukas. In addition, we will be leaving extra time for Scoutmaster Conferences and Boards of Review for those of you ready for an advancement at our upcoming Court of Honor and Christmas Party! Please make a point to bring your Scout book to this and every meeting.
Patrol Leaders, please also be prepared tonight to report on how you are doing to get ready for the Zombie Apocalypse Klondike Derby.
As always, our Troop meeting will be at 7pm tonight, December 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1226 1st Ave N. There will be NO PLC meeting tonight as we completed all our schedule details for the rest of the year at the November PLC.
Thank you to everyone that worked our grocery bagging fundraiser last week. A Scout is Thrifty, and working fundraisers like this will help you pay your own way to Summer Camp. We will make an announcement at the meeting tonight about how everything went at the fundraiser.
Looking forward after tonight, we will be finalizing advancement work for the Court of Honor at our meeting on December 8 and our Christmas Party will be December 15. Our Christmas Party is a potluck dinner, everyone please bring an entree to share. Trolls, please also bring a dessert and Panthers, please bring a side dish or salad.
See you tonight!
