Food Drive this weekend, OA Election on Monday!
Great job on the Church carpet cleaning on Monday! I am proud of all of you for the stepping up and getting that done.
As the weather continues to warm, it is again time for the annual Boy Scout Food Drive in Great Falls! This event annually raises over 20 thousand pounds of food for the needy in our community.
Troop 26 will be covering the same area we had last year, as delineated in the map below. This Saturday, beginning at 9am, we will be dropping off bags from South of 10th Avenue South to 24th Avenue South, from 23rd Street to 51st Street.
We will meet at 9am this Saturday morning (3/14) at the “Montana Lils” casino parking lot at 39th Street and 10th Ave South to distribute bags. Next Saturday morning (3/21), we will also meet at the same location at 9am to do our bag pick up. After bag pick-up, we will take our collected food to the Food Bank. Many thanks to Mrs. Lawrence and Mrs. Rapkoch for helping us to lead our participation in this event.
We will begin work on Camping skills this coming at our meeting this coming Monday, March 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1226 1st Avenue North at 7pm. To begin our Camping skills section, we will be working on knots. We have a knot relay competition planned, so be ready with your knot skill!
In addition to our Camping skills program, we will be holding our annual election of members to the Order of the Arrow at our Monday meeting. We can only hold the election if we have good attendance at this meeting, so PLEASE make a point to attend the meeting on Monday so that the election can take place.
Unfortunately, I will be out of town again this Monday. Thank you very much to all of our adult leaders and Assistant Scoutmasters that have stepped up to run meetings while I have been out of town.
