Totin Chip and Fireman Chit Review Tonight!
We had a great time at Merit Badge University this past weekend! About 500 Scouts from as far away as Wyoming were in Helena all day Saturday to learn skills and information from a very professional group of instructors on almost 40 different subject areas. Scouts from Troop 26 completed requirements and merit badges in subjects like Animal Science, Welding, Scuba, Astronomy, Geology, Chess, Engineering, Architecture and more. Mark your calendars for the first weekend in April, 2016 for next year’s MBU!
Our Troop will be teaching the Totin Chip and the Fireman Chit at the Trail to First Class campout this month. Therefore, at our Troop meeting tonight, March 30, at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1226 1st Ave N, we will begin working on a refresher for those subjects and to start organizing how we will be teaching. We will also begin organizing our menu and logistics for the Trail to First Class campout.
There will be no meeting on April 6 due to the school Spring break. However, we will begin holding our Thursday evening bike rides, leaving from Knickerbiker at 6pm. Please let me know if you want to participate in these rides.
For adults needing Scoutmaster specific training, please mark your calendars for a training on Saturday, April 11 at 8am at the Scout office. We are working hard to make this an interesting, informative and fun training. Please make a point to join us.
We will return on Monday, April 13 at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran for a Troop meeting to finalize all of the details for the Trail to First Class campout and to begin discussing the Spring Camporee.
