Court of Honor Tomorrow!
Are any of you planning on running in the Icebreaker run today? It should be a wonderful day for a run! My family will all be running the 3-mile race. I hope to see you there!
Our Troop will be holding our Spring Court to recognize our Scout’s achievements tomorrow, April 27 at 6pm at Trinity Lutheran Church (1226 1st Avenue North). Our Court of Honor will be a potluck dinner. All Scouts are to bring an entree to share. If your Scout is in the Troll Patrol, he should also bring a salad or side dish. If he is in the Panther Patrol, he should bring a dessert.
Please also be aware that Lewis and Clark District Chair Peter Jennings will be our guest speaker tomorrow. Dr. Jennings will be discussing the importance of all of us contributing to an Investment in Character and Leadership to financially support Scouting in our community.
We will have a parents/Troop Committee meeting immediately following the Court of Honor. Please make a point to be there as we have a busy Summer scheduled and we need your help with our troop decisions.
Looking forward, we will hold our May Patrol Leader’s Conference on Monday, May 4 at 6pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in order to plan our May activities. All Scouts with a green-bar position (SPL, ASPL, PL, APL, QM, Scribe, etc.) are expected to attend our PLC. Our May 4 Troop meeting will follow at 7pm.
Please also make a point to mark your boy’s calendars for the Lewis and Clark District Spring Camporee, which will be the weekend of May 15. I will have more information on this event at our Troop Committee meeting tomorrow.
Have a great Scouting day, and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
