I hope that you are all recovered from Summer camp and ready for a fun last month of Summer! The Troop will meet tonight at Trinity Lutheran Church (1226 1st Ave N) for Patrol Leader’s Conference at 6pm at for our regularly scheduled Troop meeting at 7pm. A few notes:
* Bring a ball or frisbee tonight for our meeting. After a few quick items of business, we will have a few games for everyone to play at the Natatorium park.
* If you have any found and lost items from Summer camp, please bring them tonight.
* You may continue to wear your Class B activity uniform to meetings until school resumes.
* However, If you need a Scoutmaster’s conference or Board of Review, please wear your full Class A field uniform.
Anyone with a Troop leadership position needs to be attending our monthly PLC meetings. This includes SPL, ASPL, PLs, APLs, Quartermaster, Scribe, etc. At our PLC meeting tonight we will be finalizing our August and September schedules.
Looking forward to the schedule, we are tentatively planning on having a kayaking outing at Wadsworth Pond on August 16. This should be a fun day in the water!
We will hold our August Court of Honor on Monday, August 24. This will also be a potluck dinner beginning at 6pm.
Our annual Troop calendar conference will be held on Monday, August 31 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Please bring your all of your activity calendars to that meeting (school, church, sports, hunting, etc.) so that we can plan activities that do not conflict with your schedule. The troop will provide a hot dog dinner at the calendar conference.
Our District Scout Show Saturday, September 12 in the Fairgrounds. We will be building a trebuchet for the Scout show; let’s see if we can improve on our design from this past Spring.
District Fall Camporee will be the weekend of September 18-20. Please mark your calendars!
I look forward to seeing you all tonight for our Scout meeting.
