All Popcorn Forms Due On Monday!
I hope that you are all having a great week! Have you been to the JOTA stations yet? Jamboree on the Air will be going on all weekend behind the Scout office. Swing on by while the radios are on-line–you might get to talk with a Scout on the other side of the world!
This is the FINAL weekend for popcorn sales. How are your sales going? It is time for a final effort to reach and exceed your goal! ALL popcorn forms need to be turned in to Mr. Adams or Mrs. Rapkoch no later than our Scout meeting this coming Monday evening, October 19 at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1226 1st Avenue North. There will be some final troop prizes at our meeting. Good luck on your final sales effort!
At our Scout meeting on Monday (10/19 at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran) we will be working on our First Aid skills. Mr. Adams will be our Scoutmaster on Monday as I will be out of town. Owen’s brother, who is a first responder, will be our guest teacher. We will be covering how to size up the scene of an injury and how to conduct an initial patient assessment. These are some of the most important first aid skills you will ever learn. Even if you already know them, it is very important to drill on these skills regularly.
Bonus question: What are the ABCDs of patient assessment, and why should this be one of the first questions you ask when you come across an injury?
Have a great scouting week!
Yours in Scouting,
