Popcorn Pickup Tonight from 7-9pm at 105 Riverview 8W
Buckle up buttercup; we have a busy Scouting month!
I hope that you have all enjoyed the First Aid training and situations we have brought up the last few weeks. Knowing how to deal with these type of situations is very important; we will continue working on First Aid at all of our November meetings. Bring your first aid kit with you each week!
I would like to take a few moments to thank everyone that helped pick up popcorn from the warehouse yesterday and sort it last night. I was only able to help for a limited time. Many thanks to Tanner Gaskins, Lilli Gaskins, Kristarae Kruse, Dean Gaskins, Vanessa Rapkoch, Lisa Kiamas and Dave Cunningham. Thank you all for taking on this big job on short notice.
Popcorn pickup is tonight, November 5! Everyone needs to pick up their popcorn (or arrange for it to be picked up) from 7 to 9pm at 105 Riverview 8W in Great Falls. Please try to get it all delivered and to turn in your popcorn funds as soon as possible.
You may have noticed that we had a service project scheduled for tonight. Due to popcorn, I have notified the Rotary Club that we will not be able to help with Harvest Howl setup. Please cancel that from your calendar.
Next week’s Scout meeting is November 9 at 7pm at the Scout Office, 817 17th Ave S. The theme is first aid, so please bring your first aid kits. We will be practicing bandaging and splinting skills, so please also bring supplies that might help you improvise splints, slings, swaths, etc.
Eric Abarr’s Eagle project is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, November 14 at noon, location TBA. For the project, the troop will be helping to make fire swatters for the Sand Coulee Volunteer Fire Department. Please clear your calendar to help!
The Troop and Pack 26 bowling party is Sunday, November 15 at the Black Eagle Community Center from 4 to 6pm. This is always a fun event. Come to have a nice afternoon bowling. There will be awesome gag prizes in all sorts of categories!
We will have a regularly scheduled Troop meetings on Monday, November 16 and Monday, November 23 on the First Aid theme. Our meeting on November 30 will be our Troop elections for leadership positions. Please be thinking about the leadership role that YOU want to play in your troop for the coming year and put your name forward!
The Troop bagging fundraiser at Albertson’s will be Saturday, November 21. We will be sending our more information on this fundraiser shortly.
Lastly, the District is offering Scoutmaster Specific training on Saturday, November 21. This is one of the required courses to serve as a Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster in our Troop. Please contact me or Mr. Lukas for more information.
See you tonight for popcorn pickup!
