Snowshoes, Skiing and Eagle Projects!
Hello Troop 26! For the meeting of 1/11, we worked on building snow shoes. It will be fun to try them out at klondike, on Jan 22-24.
Other things on the agenda are: Scout Sunday on Feb 7, Scout Shabbat on Feb 31, Merit Badge College on Feb 20, And Troop (and Pack) Ski Day at Showdown on Feb 27.
Speaking of Ski day, It will be on the 27 of February, which is a Saturday. A ski pass with our group rates will be $22 for youth or $37 for adults. Ski rental is $21 and a lesson is $15. If you have never skied before, you can get an all inclusive lesson, pass and rental for $35. Please sign up to join us at Ski Day and let us know what options interest you.
Jordan Christian’s eagle project will be held at the New City Church, 4108 North Park Trail. It’s near Giant Springs and the base. The project will be in the east building, which is the smaller one. We will be painting the floors and walls of the smaller room. It will take place on Jan 17 at 1:30 pm, and Jan 18 at 8:00 am. Lunch will be provided. If the doors are locked then knock or call Jordan. Jordan’s number is (406) 750-0714. If you have them, please bring latex gloves, safety glasses, and old clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting paint on. So not a class A this time! If you can, bring extra gloves.
At the next meeting, on 1/18 (MLK day), we will continue to work on our snowshoes, and prepare a sled.
