Skiing, Merit Badge Class preferences and Leadership Training tonight!
What a fun evening kayaking at the Natatorium last week! We had a great turn out and everyone had fun kayaking in the pool. My arms were on fire after our game of freeze tag with no paddles. Let’s do that again sometime soon!
Great job to everyone that helped raise money for their Scout account at the fundraiser this past weekend. The Troop raised over $1,070 in just a few hours of work! If we stay with it, every Scout can help earn their way to programs like our skiing event this coming weekend and Melita Island Summer Camp!
We will be skiing as a Troop this coming Saturday, February 27 at Showdown Ski Area! Details, logistics and all costs will be clearly detailed during our meeting tonight. Your attendance commitments and your ski rental forms are due by our meeting tonight, so please bring them.
In addition, we need your class preferences for Merit Badge University at our meeting tonight. A list of merit badges that will be offered is available at https://meritbadgeu.wordpress.com/mbu4-offerings/. A printed copy of that list will be available at the meeting tonight as well.
Our Scout meeting tonight, February 22 at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran (1226 1st Ave N), will complete our program of Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops. This program will be led by Eagle Scout Jordan Christian and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Tyler Kiamas.
Looking forward, we will screen the movie “October Sky” as our meeting on February 29. That viewing will complete Citizenship in the Community requirement #5. Our March Patrol Leader’s Conference will be Monday, March 7 at 6pm with our regularly scheduled Troop meeting to follow.
See you tonight!
