Independence Day Holiday!
I hope that you all have a happy, healthy and safe Independence Day holiday!
As a Troop (along with Packs 143 and 26), our Troop is scheduled to march one of the Overlook Hill US Flags down Smelter Avenue for the annual Black Eagle Independence Day parade! We will need all of the help we can get to make this a successful event – the flag is large and we need everyone possible to help us march it down Smelter. PLEASE HELP by showing up at the Black Eagle Country Club by 10:30am in your Class A uniform on July 4. We need everyone to help with this endeavor – Scouts, parents and leaders!
We will have a parents/committee meeting on Sunday, July 10 at 2pm at the Black Eagle Community Center. At this meeting we will be going over logistics for Summer camp and handing out statements of your boy’s Scout account. We will also be going over the remainder of our schedule for the Summer and our Fall recruitment plans. Please make a point to join us at this committee meeting.
Monday, July 11 will be our Patrol Leader’s Conference meeting at 6pm at the Black Eagle Community Center. All Scouts with a leadership position should attend PLC. This will be followed by our first Troop meeting in July at 7pm, same location. The agenda for both meetings will be final logistics and planning for our Melita Island Summer Camp adventure. Class B activity uniforms may be worn at this meeting.
Again, have a happy, healthy and safe holiday this weekend! I look forward to seeing you all on Monday at 10:30am at the Black Eagle Country Club.
